Looking for guidance on the front seat lift. Both gas strut supports locked on the front seat when lifted in this 2015 model. When closing it, a passenger tried to push the seat back down into place. The strut failures caused the six screws at the hinge to tear out of the fiberglass seat. Now I need to repair those tear outs with epoxy/fiberglass shards and get a pair of new struts. There is no parts manual for Vantage and the dealer says it will take time to get the surprisingly expensive struts. Does anyone know the lbs lift requirement for these struts as I can get them quickly and locally? I can measure the open and closed distance easily enough but need to know the weight requirement. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
