I had reached out to BW for info and they directed me to my local dealer for an answer. I wanted to know exactly what product that BW uses at the factory for sealing the seams on the floor of a Boston Whaler 210 Montauk. I had removed all the caulk as I was getting some water intrusion as some of the sealant was failing along the floor panels. The gap sizes had a pretty big variation. After a bunch of hours getting all the old material out and then getting the surfaces seams real clean I wanted to know exactly what the factor used when the boat was built. Boston whaler was reluctant to answer and deferred me to my local dealer. I actually was not comfortable with there response and I went and called three dealer's for the answer and each dealer suggested a different product. 1. Life Seal, 2. Sikaflex 295UV, 3. 3M 08017. Does anyone know for certain what product was used in the build process?
