A/c breaker in main fuse panel...

A/c breaker in main fuse panel pops, 2000 Sundancer 340, the other day and before the cockpit light issue I came aboard and found the  a/c breaker popped, at first, I thought maybe I had left it off when I last left the boat, I clicked it back on and the a/c ran for a few mins then I heard it pop, sometimes the a/c will run for a few mins and other times it pops right away. Any ideas?

The breaker may be bad, or the AC may be drawing excessive current.

Use a clamp on ammeter and measure the current draw to see which is the problem.

It is possible to swap existing parts to determine which is bad. Remember that the 120 VAC will hurt if the body completes the circuit.

I had same problem and it turned out to be clogged sea strainer for AC .

It was the breaker. I swapped the microwave and A/C breakers, the A/C seems to be working fine now.
