Very likely the factory built the boat w/ Group 27 batteries, like on my 2000 380DA.
When I upgraded my batteries I instead used Group 31 batteries, that have identical dimensions where they side into the battery tray.
My selection has been the Lifeline GPL-31XT batteries because I will never return to flooded cell batteries on a boat and because this specific battery has 25% more capacity than every single other option, for longer on hook run time.
