I am currently repowering my '01 &I'm going to put new tach/hour gauges in her ( LCD digits are messed up.   ....anyway, "new engines---new gauges"

What brand is recommended in general, for quality equal or better than original, at a reasonable price? Don't care about fancy, just something reliable.

FYI, it is "easy" to repair the gauge LCD. There are companies like this offering that service.

https://gaugesaver.com/

A LCD has a polarizing film w/ 90° orientation shift on each side of the glass. The LCD digits are invisible w/o those films. Those films deteriorate w/ time and sun.

Replacement of those films restores the gauges.

This image shows the polarizing film hand held (prior to replacement installation) over most of the LCD display.
