I own a 1993 Searay 370. Express Cruiser. Asking this question is a bit embarrassing but I can not locate the switch to turn off the light in the bottom step in the cabin. Please help. Thank  you.

Jim

It's not the "cockpit light" switch on the dash?

These aren't the switches for that light?

Check and see if you have a breaker called indirect lighting in the cockpit and turn it off that's how it works on my 1990 350 Sundancer

The indirect switch is correct for turning off and on the step lights. I have a 93 Sundancer.

The switch is on the right side of the control panel. It is the indirect light switch.

My 93 Sundancer 44DA has two black toggle switches on the left wall at the top of the steps entering the cabin. Just above the power panel. Bottom one turns on the bottom step light and several others throughout the cabin.
But, when I bought the boat last year, I had to fix several of the light sockets to get them all to work. FYI.
Hope this helps
