Hello all, first time power boat owner here. Purchased a 2016 21 SPX w/ 150OB earlier this year and need some assistance with understanding the in's and out's winterizing a boat.
I've seen online vids, talked with some people, but haven't seen a clear definitive guide from Mercury or Sea Ray for my particular model. Do I need to worry about the bilge pump? What about the self evacuating lines throughout the vessel? I know they are open ended and allow freezing water to expand, but...this is a new boat. Just being extra cautious. Anything else?
I contacted the dealer from which I purchased the boat so I have that in my back pocket as a fail over. I also own an RV and winterize that myself every year. So I understand the general concept around blowing out water lines and filling appropriatly with antifreeze.
Any reference for specific online guides, personal input, etc is greatly appreciated.
