Does anyone know where they keep...

Does anyone know where they keep the fresh water pump on my 1990 310DA? I never heard it when I was in the working in the engine compartment.  I could hear it in the cabin but now it stopped.

Any help would be great.

I have a 45 and mine is under the rear seat near the water tank. Dont know location on a 310 if that helps.
