Welcome to the forum.

Good luck w/ your boat.

My suggestion is to read / follow / read again Chapman Piloting (Bible of Boating). Also take the Power Squad or the USCG boating course, family too.

There are lots of links for launching / operating. Here is one.

Couple of points, ramps can be very slippery. Don't lose everything into the water. Garboard drain plug in / out at appropriate times. Practice backing skills if not already honed.

Also first launch at high tide will aid the novice.

First time boater?

Get an experienced friend and listen to instructions w/ a grain of salt. Read, read, read and never stop learning.

My five prioritized boating rules:
1) Safety of those on board my boat
2) Safety of those on board other boats
3) Protection of my property
4) Protection of other property
5) Having fun
