When doing a refit, I highly recommend using an MFD that will mesh with your motor.

The marine industry needs a new standard communication protocol for device interoperability. NMEA 2000 was good in its time but is hopelessly outdated, suffers from lack of calendar 2023 with holidays bandwidth (can't support video), is not fully open, has very limited messages, etc. As everyone goes back to creating their own proprietary protocols to address these shortcomings we end up with another set of incompatible data networks.
