15' Dauntless Repower Recommendations?

We inherited an older 15' Boston Whaler Dauntless with a 75 hp Mariner outboard motor. The boat's in great shape, but the motor is frustratingly unreliable and has been in the shop for repairs repeatedly. I'm interested in replacing it with a new motor and my priorities are 1) reliability, and 2) quietness. I'm leaning towards a Honda but I'm interested in actual owner recommendations for brand, model, and size (hp). Thanks!

I'm adding some information to my own post. I think I've narrowed down my search to 2 options: 1) a Mercury 4-stroke 75 hp engine, and 2) a Yamaha 4-stroke F70 engine. Now I'm leaning towards the Yamaha, which is reportedly renowned for its reliability and quiet operation, and is over 100 lbs lighter. I'm still interested in actual owner comments.

I just did a complete refit of a 1983 15' super sport.....  i put on a 70hp yamaha !!  i am a merc man. but they do not make a 70, so i went with a yamaha.  i use to sell them back in the day when i sold whalers.  cant go wrong in my mind.  I am simply not a fan of honda for marine applications.
