Hello, has anyone out there installed a thru hull transducer in one of the newer Montauks? I have a 2020 170, and I wanted to install an Airmar B175 into the small bilge area underneath the deck sump. It is fairly close to the drain plug, but there is more than enough room, and it is solid fiberglass. I currently run 2 transom mount transducers, and I am looking for better performance. I know the thru hull unit will be way better than the transom mount, and I was thinking of taking a chance. Has anyone out there done this?
