Classic Striper 15 Re-power

Hello! I have been looking for an affordable 4-stroke to re-power my ‘86 15’ Striper, which currently has an ‘86 Mercury 50hp 2-stroke. A few days ago, I came across a 2006 Merc 50hp Bigfoot at a fair price, but I’m concerned about it being a Bigfoot. The shop that is selling it says they will find a proper prop to make this a better match for my hull, but if there is a recommendation you have for the best prop for me to use, then I would make that a condition of the sale. What about weight? Will it be too much for my transom? What other concerns should I have? It’s an attractive deal to me, and your feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

hi there, your boat is rated for a 70 HP. I have a 15' SS, that i am restoring,  I am going with the max HP, choosing a 70 HP Yamaha. However, I am a mercury man !!
