Older Boston Whaler documentation, brochures, and marketing literature

I have been the owner of three classic Boston Whaler skiffs since the mid-80s.  In 2021, I completed restoring my present classic Boston Whaler skiff, an '88 Boston Whaler Super Sport 15.  There are some third party forums (continuouswave.com, whalercentral.com (not currently accessible), etc.) from which much (but certainly not a complete set) documentation, brochures, and marketing literature from the period before the Brunswick acquisition of Boston Whaler may be acquired.  I am requesting that Boston Whaler locate and add these items to its current document library within this owners group.  Thanks in advance for considering this request.

Thanks for the compliment.  I'm really enjoying my first full season with the boat.

What size motor did you put on your Super Sport 15'? We are looking to put a new motor on our 1990 15' Sport and even though it is rated for 70 hp the new 4 stroke 70's are heavy (340 lbs) and big. Any thoughts and your considerations on picking a motor would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hello Sir, I would recommend sticking with a 70.   you're a little heavy on your weight.

I have always been a MercuryMan!! But Yamaha makes a great motor.

I installed a Yamaha F70LA.  Unlike most of the other 4-stroke outboards of this power rating, the Yamaha F70LA was the same weight as the '87 Johnson 70 HP 2-stroke outboard which I replaced.  Most of the other outboards of this power rating are close to 100 lbs. heavier.  Weight, quality, and a very positive experience with a Yamaha outboard which I had previously owned were major reasons for selecting a Yamaha outboard for the repower.

Thank you for your feedback. We are looking at going with a Honda 60 hp. Appreciate your feedback!

Good morning CaptBrett,

Please excuse this late response.  I replaced the original Teleflex / Seastar Safe-T helm with a Dometic Seastar SH4910P No Feeback 4.2 Rotary Steering Helm.

Schuyler84 - I reached out to you on another forum your on for Whalers. I had a few questions I was hoping to ask you about realted to the bow mount you created for your '13 SS. I'm an owner of one down in Charleston SC. My email address is [email protected]

Good morning Tommers83,

Which forum or FB group did you post your questions in?

It might have been continuous wave. I just figured if I got one of them you were more active in - we might be able to connect

I'm fairly active within the Everything Boston Whaler FB group (other Whaler groups as well).  I find this to be the easiest to monitor.
