I’ve been running the 60R since 2020… day in and day out, for over 280 days a year.  I am thoroughly impressed with its reliability, economy and performance in shallow water.  
I know there are tons of questions about this new monster… please fire away.  I am happy to chat.

So, I'm looking to get a 60hp Mercury and I'm not sure if for my situation it would be better to the regular 60hp or the 60R. It's going on a Reaper 556 (Hunting/Fishing Boat) with a step transom. I know that the 60r has a lower center of gravity and the higher RPM to make up for the 2.33 gear, but other than that I'm pretty lost. Some guidance from someone who has the R would be greatly appreciated!
