Port throttle slips on my '98 EB 440 at low RPMs. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the tension?

Anyone solve an annoying problem on 1998 EB 440... fly bridge walk though to bow is angled slightly so heavy rain pours through bridge and misses drains on the port/starboard.
