I am super impressed with my fuel economy numbers I am seeing on my Mercury Racing R Applications. What is everyone else seeing?
These numbers are boats loaded ready to fish...
36 Yellowfin Triple 300R Eco XP props 1.65 mpg @ 40 mph
24 Yellowfin Single 450R Max 5 prop 3.95 Mpg @ 45 mph
24 Yellowfin Single 300R Eco XP prop 4.25 mpg @ 40 mph
17' technical flats boat 60R Vengeance Prop 8.2 MPG @ 28 mph
With todays rising costs in fuel great fuel economy is a huge help keeping our bottom lines down, especially as a charter fishing guide. Feel free to ask me questions about my set ups here on this forum.

Hi!
I have a Phantom 25 1985 model with a Mercury 450R spinning a Max5 27 ST.
Previus engines been 400R, 350 Sci, 2 x 2.5 EFI SS, Promax 300 SVS, etc
The fuel economy is stunning:
2000 rpm @ 29 mph @ 20 liter / 5,26 gal per hour
2500 rpm @ 36 mph @ 27 liter / 7,1 gal per hour
3000 rpm @ 42 mph @ 40 liter / 10,5 gal per hour
3500 rpm @ 52 mph @ 48 liter / 12,6 per hour
4000 rpm @ 59 mph @ 59 liter / 15,5 gal per hour
4500 rpm @ 67 mph @ 72 liter / 18,9 gal per hour
5000 rpm @ 75 mph @ 85 liter / 22,3 gal per hour
5500 rpm @ 83 mph @ 126 liter / 33,15 gal per hour
6,000 rpm @ 89 mph
6300 rpm @ 94 mph
I do not have figures for wot, but I estimate 170 liter per hour.

Likewise very pleased with the performance and fuel consumption, twin 300R's on a 35'cc deep v. Burning around 48l/h per engine at a cruise speed of 35-36 knots.
