Yes for the small additional fee I felt one repair out of warranty would cover it. So far the boat has had several minor warranty issues. Drain hoses on the cup holders, cockpit cover repalced, some screw holes filled where they didn't fill a mistake...
Mine did the same. Make sure your screen is removed by the dinette window and/or make sure it's sealed tight. Believe it or not the water will come in through the window and run to the back of the aft.
I use iNavX app and I have an iPad mount on my dash so its permanently on the boat. Only downside if left in the sun you may get the "iPad needs to cool" message. You can also link it to smart craft
