Good Morning,  I have a 1990 250...

Good Morning,  I have a 1990 250 with twin 4.3 Merc's.  My Starboard engine while motoring heated up and began to smoke.  I immediately shut it down.  Do not know what happened?  Any idea's Thank you  RJ
