Did you find a solution? My 2015 190spx is having similiar situation. will not auto pump, so thinking float switch, but does pump water when I use the hard wired switch!
looks like mine is mounted on top hole pic included. not sure if it was mounted differently anything would change that much, but I will ask at my next service
