Mercury Racing is truly a global brand and the Middle East is home to many performance boat enthusiasts who enjoy the Wide Open lifestyle offered by Mercury Racing products. To engage with this audience, Mercury Racing general manager Stuart Halley and Mercury Racing director of customer experience Steve Miller travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the Dubai International Boat Show in early March. Hosted at the Dubai Harbour seafront district, the show features in-water and static exhibits with more than 150 boats on display, from small inflatables to yachts, and attracts 30,000 visitors annually.
Mercury Racing is represented in the Middle East by Extreme Marine Equipment and Services, and Halley and Miller spent time in the Extreme Marine booth at the show, meeting customers and hosting the Middle East debut of the new Mercury Racing V10 400R outboard. Extreme Marine has a location in Dubai and just opened a new facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
“The performance power market in the Middle East is focused primarily on outboard power,” said Miller. “Our customers in this region are big fans of the 300 AMS, the supercharged 450R, and the new V10 400R outboard models.”
The V10 400R was featured in a quad installation on the new Raslann 45, a high-performance center console model produced by Al Rubban Marine that was displayed in-water at the show.
