In October 2022, we partnered with Lowe Boats to give away the trip of a lifetime to one lucky winner (+ guest) to attend their exclusive Summer of Lowe Concert series with Rodney Atkins in Orange Beach, Alabama. Ripl Member, Bryan H. won the giveaway, and we had the incredible opportunity to treat him and his daughter, Cheryl to an unforgettable concert experience.

“On September 6th 2022, I received an email from the Ripl Community saying I won a trip to see Rodney Atkins. At first, I thought it was a scam but after reading the whole email, I realized that I must have really won. My wife encouraged me to bring one of our daughters since all three of them love country music. Cheryl, my daughter, was probably more excited than me - she is a big fan of Rodney Atkins!
The experience going to Orange Beach Alabama was amazing! There were two things I wanted to do besides the planned events with Ripl - visit Fort Morgan and see Alligators and we did both. We drove to Fort Morgan and spent a few hours touring the Fort. After we left there, we drove to Alligator Alley in Summerdale, Alabama.
It is hard to pick a favorite part of the experience. The ride aboard the brand-new Lowe boat with Brian Latimer, professional fisherman and Colleen was fun - both of them are great Ripl representatives and we enjoyed their company very much. I also enjoyed watching the concert and eating dinner from the boat as well - it was very comfortable. Rodney Atkins sang his big hits and his children stole the show when they got up and danced with their mother. Zeke’s Marina did a great job hosting this event.
We stayed at Island House Hotel and it is beautiful - it was easy to get to the white sandy beaches and I was amazed at how warm the gulf water was. I live in Oregon, and the Pacific ocean is very cold – so this was something I had never experienced before. We also enjoyed some excellent food from Zeke’s Marina, Paula Deen’s Family Restaurant in Foley Alabama, Cosmos Restaurant and The Yard Milkshake Bar in Gulf Shores.
The Ripl community is a great place for anyone interested in boating. You don't have to own a boat or know a lot about boating. It's a place you will learn a lot and you get to give your opinion on things that will help shape the future of boating. I have learned many things and I won an incredible trip to see Rodney Atkins in Orange Beach Alabama!

“I was so excited for my dad when I found out that he won the Ripl Summer of Lowe Trip Giveaway! I was almost in disbelief. I even asked him if he was sure that it was real. When my dad asked me if I would like to accompany him, I jumped at the opportunity. Going on an all-expense paid vacation* to a sunny, resort town on the beach sounded like a once in a lifetime adventure that I could not pass up.
My experience during the trip to Alabama to see Rodney Atkins was perfect. My only wish was that we could have stayed longer! My dad and I arrived in Orange Beach on Thursday around 3:30 PM. We spent the afternoon exploring a beautiful, white sandy beach. We dipped our feet into the warm gulf waters for the first time in our lives, collected seashells, and watched a gorgeous sunset. The next morning, we got up bright and early to explore the area.
We had a blast visiting Fort Morgan and Alligator Alley. We made it back to Orange Beach in time for another walk on the beach before it was time for our excusive Ripl experience. When my dad and I arrived at Zeke's Marina, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like family. We were quickly whisked away on a brand-new Lowe boat to explore the Gulf of Mexico with Brian Latimer and Colleen Richardson. The views of the coastline from the boat were absolutely beautiful.
To top it all off, after finishing the boat ride, we were invited to eat dinner and watch Rodney Atkins' concert from a Lowe pontoon boat. After the concert, we had an exclusive meet and greet/photo opportunity. Colleen was so sweet! Knowing that I am a huge country music fan, she asked me if I wanted to meet Rodney's wife, Rose, and their two boys. Rose was very kind and gave me a big hug.
I would have to say that the ride in the Lowe Bay boat was the highlight of the trip for me. It was neat to meet and visit with Brian Latimer, who is a professional bass angler. He and Colleen made sure our ride was memorable by paying attention to small details like making sure we saw dolphins - something on my bucket list. I also loved that Ripl had a professional photographer document our experience on the boat. They sent the pictures to my dad and I as a keepsake.
The Ripl community is a wonderful resource for anyone who enjoys fishing and/or boating. It offers members a fun way to learn from experts. It also gives them the added bonus of having a chance to win fantastic prizes! My dad speaks very highly of it.
