Very accessible area and an easy replacement. 

I had a leak but it was more to starboard side of the aft bunk. Turned out that the drain fitting from the lower step in the cockpit companionway had broken off underneath - so any water that had accumulated in that lower step flowed into the berth.

Doesn't wax go on after polish?

I haven't had much luck with this Sea Ray site. I am on another one called Club Sea Ray which has more activity.
