I have an AJ 29 re powered a couple of years ago withe same 5.0 mercruiser engines as the original. They are in perfect condition, always start. Out of the blue both engines would not start (but crank fine). I tried the next day and the same result. I Got a mechanic with a laptop who plugged in his computer and boom, they started, no problem. He didn't do anything to the engines themselves. Everything checked out on his laptop as OK. Two days later, they will not start again. I noticed my smartcraft readout said "engines not com" . Each engine was plugged into the laptop before it was started. Could that have something to do with the engines starting and now now starting when not plugged in? Seems far fetched but I'm clueless as to what is going on. The mechanic will have to come back again but it would be great to have some idea what is going on so I could suggest something to him. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks George Shelley
