Hi all,

We have a 2012 SLX 250 with forward facing bimini tower with manual fold. It seems like each time we tow the boat the screws that hold the support arms for the canvas roof come lose regardless of how tight we make it. Now the main screw that pivots the arch when folded has fell out during transit so I only have the pin handle until I can get a replacement. To make matters worse, it looks like the two smaller screws from the small adjustable support arm that holds up the canvas roof have striped out the threads. I thought about applying a bit of loctite but I pull the bimini top off during winter storage and don't want to be able to not remove.

Curious if anybody else is having similar issues?

Thanks for any input.

If you use the blue loctite, it is not permanent. Red isn't either, but takes much more work to remove (heat applied). Sorry about your unfortunately circumstances. I wish you the best, finding replacement hardware. As for the threads, perhaps its something you can drill out and tap a slightly larger whole?
