March can be great at Lake Powell. I have seen high 70's in the day but 40's at night. April is a better bet. Watch the weather on NOAA radio for spring storms. There are trailers to stay in at both Halls and Bullfrog as well as Defiance House Hotel at Bullfrog and Ticaboo Hotel 8 miles north of Bullfrog. Good food at the grill at Offshore Marina where I keep my boat. My preferred time is April, May, September and October.

Thank you for the information. I did this trip 25+ years ago, and wanted to do it again this year, as there is still ice on the lakes up here. We are watching the long-range weather forecast and shall probably make a run for it 04/20-23.
