Hi all, first post here...

i have a 2016 Sundeck outboard, there is a red colored oil in my bilge, can anyone please tell me what it can be?

Oh btw, seems too thick to have been leftover winterizer from toilet area and this was what was left after I cleaned up bilge and took out almost 2 gallons of water mixed with a oily red mess, btw maybe a coincidence but my depth finder stopped working 2 nights ago where the read out on my Raymarine smart craft and touch screen are showing 0 ft. Tks

That looks like hydraulic fluid... Either you steering or trim tabs.

Thank you for the response Tom! Yes you are correct we found the leak last night, was starboard trim tab line leaking where it enters the hull right where the sealant is. Got a call in for service now. Thanks again

Tks, boat was brought to Marine Max today, easy repair from what the svc mgr said and covered under warranty. Hopefully the repair of the depth finder issue is as easy
