I am the proud owner of a 2000 Sea Ray 230 Signature Bow Rider. I recently upgraded the Bravo 1 outdrive to a Bravo 3 outdrive. The way that I came to this upgrade is an unfortunate story. I ran my boat hard onto a submerged rock pile. The impact was severe enough that it wrecked the gearing in the outdrive . I had a Sea Ray dealership do the work, and they were able to determine the correct gear ratio drive for my engine (7.4L MPI). However, they appeared to struggle to find the correct prop pitch. They ended up putting 26 degree props on the Bravo 3. Does this sound right?
I called Sea Ray and they directed me to prop pitch charts that are available through the customer service section of their website. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the recommended prop pitch for a 2001 or 2002 Sea Ray 230 Signature Bow Rider with the Bravo 3 outdrive (the 2000 Sea Ray 230 was only available from the factory with a Bravo 1 outdrive).
