My 2008 sea ray 240 sundeck steering has gotten stiff. I have checked the steering fluid level and it's right where it should be. Are there any other areas I should be checking? And I haven't found any grease fittings yet. Any help or ideas appreciated.
Pretty sure you have a telflex cable that runs from back of helm to engine compartment. Time for new one. Older ones had zerk fittings, newer are sealed.
I agree. I had the same situation last year and although there were no visible signs of wear, and I kept thinking that the power steering should overcome the stiff feeling, replacing the cable did the trick.
