Hi, we have a 90 Sea Ray Sundancer 350 with twin gas engines.  One fuel gauge doesn't work and has been checked to unit sending unit.  Is it possible to change with tank in?  Access does not look to be easy and pulling a tank certainly isn't.  Right now I base my fuel off of one gauge but would like both working.  Thanks for any input.

Probably.

The online parts list doesn't show the fuel sender details, but Sea Ray uses tanks produced by Florida Marine Tanks, Inc. and most of their tanks have a sender port in the top surface. The part list does show that most of your tanks are forward of the main bilge bulkhead so access for the senders is most probably thru a cabinet bottom or back wall in the aft stateroom. Sometimes the factory puts an inspection port above the senders, sometimes not. You should be able to look down the top of the fuel tank to locate the sender position, then start removing panels until you see about a 6" round metal plate in the top of the fuel tank. Remove t he wires and screws and gently ease the sender up and sideways until the float clears the top of the tank.
