Hello everyone. Have a 2004 Sundancer 260.   Looking for best practice answers to 2 questions:

1. Should you run the blower when running the generator at anchor?

2. Should generator be turned off when sleeping?  I have 3 CO monitors in the cabin 2 of which are new and battery operated.

Thanks for any input or information

Hildey,
My personal opinions:
Run the blowers anytime the generator, or the engine, is running. Just good practice. It will exhaust any carbon monoxide that escapes, or comes back in, from the exhaust as well as expels the heat.
NEVER run the genny while sleeping. After reading about the family and pet(s) that died near Ceader Point last summer (you can google that incident), it's just not worth it to me.
CO monitors are great. Open the hatches and enjoy the cool evenings!!! Happy boating.

Yes to the blower when running the gen and you can leave it on while sleeping as long as you take precautions against co getting into the cabin Ii.e. close the hatches and cabin access
