I have a 2007 280 Sundancer that has a rain leak into the aft cabin on the port side under the storage area. Help me find the source of the leak. Is this common on 280's?

I have a similar problem. Not a big leak but water ends up in the midberth.

Check the motors on the wipers. Had a leak midberth and they found poor caulking around the mounts was the problem. You have to remove the headliner to see the leak. Sea Ray redid the liners with new materials due to moisture. Resealed it and no more leak.

I had a leak but it was more to starboard side of the aft bunk. Turned out that the drain fitting from the lower step in the cockpit companionway had broken off underneath - so any water that had accumulated in that lower step flowed into the berth.

Captain TJ, how did you fix that? Seems like a difficult fixture to reach.

Very accessible area and an easy replacement.
