Bought a 1992 400EC. Has anyone ever removed (or whatever) the front seat essemblys to gain full access to the engine compartments? Our boat has twin cat 3116's and to do just about anything on the front and far sides of them is impossible without doing so.

I have a 1992 400 EC also, I just remove the two twist locks/Pins to the front of the seat and remove the arm rest crew, then slide the whole chair back, then I can remove the engine access cover and have full access to the engines and engine room.

Thanks Islndbwoy. My name is Mark. We (my wife Chikako and I) live in Las Vegas but our boat is in San Pedro, CA. at Holoday Harbor Cabrillo marina. If you ever get a chance and have a little free time, please give me a call. cell: 808.277.6803 (still a Hawaii # but we've been in Vegas since 2005)
