hi experts, I have a 2009 310 DA and love it- want everything to be like new, there is a foam strip that is at the base of the windshield that is rotting- can I just pull that out and replace it?

Does this Taylor Made windshield screw cover web page have the required part?

https://www.taylormadeproducts.com/hardware/screw-cover-vinyls/

On my 2000 380DA those screw covers all shrunk in length. I replaced those parts. When I performed the replacement I maximized the lengths of those screw covers. Part of that maximized length was matching the end cut angle to the frame angle.

The original parts didn't last long enough and the replacement parts have been perfect for over a decade.

My replacement required two different types of rubber screw covers.

When I performed this service I also sequentially removed every screw and injected sealant into each screw hole.
