I have a 2004 220 Select. I was wondering what speed I could drive with the stock top on while am at the lake.  Since it hooks to the windshield I don't want to tear anything up.

I have a 2002 version of this same boat. Per the manual and what I was advised while taking delivery, one should not exceed 40mph with the Bimini top open.

Thanks for the information. I bought the boat used and had no manuals.

I think you can still get manuals online can't you?

I downloaded one but it didn’t say anything about the top and speed.

We also have a 2004 220 select. I'm assuming you are referring to the Bimini, unless you have a full enclosure. Either way, other than slowing top speed a little the Bimini structure is stout enough. We run 30+ MPH all the time with the top up.

See we run at over 40 with the bimini up. Honestly I don't even look up at the speed but its still there when we slow down.
Both of my boats. (Searay 220 Sundeck and Tahoe Q4) use Saddles mounted with screws fastened to the deck in front of the windscreen. Very stout, very strong way.
