I have a 2007 310 sundancer with vdrives and the paddlewheel sensor (connected to vessel view) never reads above about 12mph.  I tried setting the frequency on vessel view at 4.5 and 4.9mhz with no improvement.  I have not yet visually inspected the paddle wheel sensor but I am thinking there is something wrong with the sensor unit (thru hull).  Any ideas?

If I need to replace, does anyone know where to get one?

The paddle wheel sensor on my boat may be yanked from inside the engine room and replaced w/ a blank plug.

My paddle wheel mount has an internal rubber flapper that shuts when removed to limit the water intrusion.

Mine requires periodic cleaning to remove marine growth from the moving parts, then it reverts to normal operation.

FWIW, my depth transducer may also be removed for cleaning, but there is NO flapper. When I yank that I cover the opening w/ my hand, then jam the plug to have acceptable water intrusion.

I'm getting a paddle sensor alert, same problem and fix?

My paddle wheel sensor is yanked and cleaned every two weeks. It fails to work at a month of not cleaning.

My depth sensor goes fine at over a month between cleaning cycles.
