I have a brand new 2020 290 SDX OB. Great boat. But, at 2900-3200 RPM, the swim platform kicks up a spray from the port side that is caused by the swim step. Sea Ray replaced the swim step with a modified version that has a gusset to try to seal some of the gap around the step where the water sprays through. Much improved, but still a very wet sea platform on the port side. Anybody else have this problem. I’m still trying to figure out if there is a design flow or if the swim step on the 290 SDX OB was installed incorrectly.
