Just bought my first cruiser, a 08 269DA. Spent all weekend  putting a shine on her.bFound the first problem, the thermostat  isn't secured in its  location  ,very loose. Is the a quick fix

I assume you are talking about the one in the cabin. I reattached mine with Velcro. It really needs a new backing plate and screwed back in place. You may be able to separate the back plate and drill new holes nd screw back into the same position.
