The aluminum winshield frame on...

The aluminum winshield frame on my 2004 Sundancer is starting to corrode in places.  I plan to refinish it in place after removing the weatherstip and caulking?  Any suggestions regarding the preparation (ie removing all the anodizing down to the bare aluminum), type of primer and paint.  Awlgrip has a silver paint that's a good match, but not sure if a one or two part paint is better.  Suggestions for other brands are welcome.  Thanks

I did it exactly as you mention using a two parts paint. After 3-4 years in some (limited) places I noticed that reappeared!
