HI,

I recently purchased a Rainier 2000i "Floating Neutral" portable generator/inverter for use while "on the hook"

When I plug the generator into the shore power plug I get a "reverse polarity" alarm on my 220 DA Sundancer electrical panel.

Everything works but the alarm is disconcerting. How does one ground a portable generator while on the water?

The generator will plug into the shore power plug when I am at anchor. I have since purchased a grounding neutral plug and it solved the problem.
