2016 250 SLX submerisible swim platform

Just purchased a used 2016 250 SLX with the motorized submersible swim platform. When its in its stored position the lower part of the platform is not completely secured and flaps up and down an inch or two. Boat is in the water so I can't get a visual on it nor is there any type of manual or drawing for the platform online that I can find nor does Searay have anything they can give me since its no longer in production.

Question is what holds the lower section in place? The upper section seems to operate fine on the hydraulic system thats also controls the trim, but I can't see how the lower section is held in place. Are there springs or something similar? Next week I'm planning on taking it out in the shallows where I can get in the water and get a better look at it but would appreciate any insight before hand.

This was an issue identified when it was surveyed and I purchased it with full knowledge of the issue.

Thanks in advance for any insight you folks may have.
