So I have a '06 SP185 and just bought a replacement prop (14.5 x 19) manufactured by Solas.  The new prop blades appear to be a bit larger than the original prop as they now make contact with the anode.  All other searching I've done seems to indicate that an acceptable solution to this problem is to 'customize' the anode to accommodate the new prop.  Doesn't look like I'll need to notch a lot of the anode out, but some notching will be necessary.  Is this really the best way to deal with the issue?  Thanks everyone for your feedback.  Todd

I find it weird that the blade is hitting the anode if it's supposed to be the same specs as the OEM prop. That said, I see no reason why you shouldn't grind of a bit of the anode. Try not to take of more than you need and note the position of the anode before you remove it .... The position is adjustable to compensate

(my post got prematurely cut off).. to compensate for prop torque.
