I have a 1993 400 Express Cruiser, with a 7.5 kw Westerbeke generator that looks like it is in the same position as yours. I bought the enclosure from a Westerbeke dealer, and had my mechanic install it. My mechanic removed the generator, went over the entire generator, changing some of the more common parts, and was able to build the the platform, install the generator, and continue to build the sound box around it. Although it was a tight fit, the entire installation was a great success!!! All of the panels are easy to remove and replace as needed. What a huge difference it made. Lots of luck to you, it was definitely worth the investment.
