my Cummins Seaview screen has burned out which I see is very common. They are no longer made , does anyone know if the info can be tied into the main bus and shown on one of my Garmin touch screens.

Gas or Diesel?

If gas you can replace with new versions of vessel view, 403 or 407. Either one will output data to NMEA2000 that you can interface with your Garmin.

If Diesel, I would change to the new SMX dieselview replacement offered by sbmar.com. Email or call Corey, he will set you up with everything you need. They are extremely helpful.

I replaced my 2006 Diesel View with a new Vessel View 703. The swap did require several additional jumper cables all sold through Mercury SmartCraft. Overall and easy swap out and now all the engine data shows up on the Nema 2000 backbone.

Also if you have Generator data on your Diesel View now it probably won’t be with the Upgrade.

Seaboard Marine has some good info on this conversion and depending on which version engines you have the correct comparability.
