1996 Searay 250 Sundancer Both my trim gauge and rpm gauge readings are way off. Trim is at full as soon as I touch up button on shifter. Never comes completely down to down line. RPM gauge starts at 400 and gets up to 1800 at cruising, both way below 600 and 3200. Started after 1 1/2 in drydock. Nothing was changed during that period.

Any welding done during dry dock?

No. Had it shrink wrapped in the fall of 2019 and had it trucked to Fl in 2021.

Since you have more than one gauge acting up, perhaps look at the ‘common’ connection side of the gauges for something loose in the back of the gauges. Are the two gauges next to each other?

I think they have something in common also. I checked all the attachments on the back of each. Now will look further behind the panel-ground, etc.

Trim disc could be bad. I bypassed it so it shows down position only. I trim the boat by feel.
