I have a 2003 Sundancer 300 with 5.0 MPI Engines and 2 fuel tanks each feeding one engine.  I want to install a FloScan system on each engine to get real time useage and flow rate. I noticed the diameter of the FloScan sensor gas holes are 1/4" ID  where the boat fuel lines are all 1/2" ID.  Any thoughts on if there will be enough fuel flow as to not starve the engines?

Thank You

Allen

I had the same situation 2 years ago when I wanted to install a flow meter on my 280 Sea Ray with twin 4.2 engines. I only have one fuel tank. The fittings on the meter was smaller than the gas line. The installer assured me that there wouldn't be a problem and he was right. No problems so far.

Thank You, did you have twin engines? If so then then using 2 tanks each having 1/4" holes in the sensors should be fine based on what you did.
