I have a 2009 250 Sundancer.  My holding tank on my head is leaking at the seams, it was pumped to pressurize it but not flushed right away.  If I had to guess the seals? are blown out maybe?  Looking for any advise on how to fix?  Hoping I don't have to completely replace the head.

My guess is that the tank is not pressurized.

It is either a Vacuflush w/ a vacuum generator, or a Vacuflush VHT system that maintains a vacuum on the entire holding tank. Which system is on the boat?

The holding tank is a seamless part, w/ sealed openings at the fittings.

Has the tank been pumped out to be empty? Does the head flush properly? Where are the leaks?

Honestly not sure which system is on the boat, rarely use it. I know it's a Vacuflush, that's about it. It's empty except for the blue holding tank treatment. It leaks around the seams, especially from the front near the handle to flush.

It sounds like the concern is a fresh water leak at the flush mechanism at the head, not the holding tank.

There is a split clam shell shroud covering the flush valve. Remove the shroud to expose the valve.

There is a garden hose fitting at the valve fresh water supply. Try tightening that fitting coupling to see if the leak is resolved. If not, then a valve rebuild kit will correct the leak. The head has a model number decal that is required to ID the correct replacement parts.

I've attached a pic, you can see the blue treatment leaking from I think are the seams of the holding tank.

Is there a model number for that head?

Is the head and holding tank all part of that one assembly?

I couldn't find a model number for the head. Yes, it is all one assembly as far as I can tell.

That looks like a Dometic 970 Series Portable Toilet.

Here are some links. The last one is the manual.
