Recently purchased a 2006 320 Sundancer with Mercury 350 Mags and V-Drives. Need to upgrade no longer working Raymarine C80 ChartPlotter. At the same time thought about upgrading the Smart Craft with Vessel View. Has anyone done this and thought it was worth it? My favorite feature of the Smart Craft is the screen that shows what position my rudders are in. Super helpful when backing into the slip. Can't find anywhere where that feature is available with Vessel View.
My Raymarine ST8001 autopilot control head has a rudder position indicator that I always use for docking, except when coming to idle after going straight ahead at speed w/o turning the wheel.
