WDB Have a 2004 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer and would like to install a generator as inexpensive as possible. Perhaps a portable. Any suggestions?

If you will get a Honda 2000 , it will run the system for you and you can purchase one for around $950

Honda 2000 is the way to go, on the swim platform. Run in conserve mode unless you run the A/C and then it has to run in regular mode or it will not handle the startup amperage when the compressor kicks in. Will run about 7 hours on a tank of fuel but they sell hookups to have auxiliary fuel tank supply gas and I have used that successfully to run over 15 hours without attention. CO2 monitor in your cabin is imperative!
