engine lift lay out

looking to turn the sun pad on my 1999 230 bowrider into an auto lift hatch...  my question does anyone know where I can get the

spec's on where to place the ram?

Glad to help.

No idea on the specific placement. That is the only image I located on-line for your model w/ the lift.

NB, the lift is a structural device. On my 380DA the lower lift point is attached to the side of a stringer, boxed on one side w/ a thick aluminum ell bracket and on the other side w/ an aluminum plate. On the top there is a flat plate on the lower side of the hatch, carriage bolt heads on the top.

Also on my 380DA, I can access the hatch lift clevis pin, to disengage the lift for manually raising during failure, such as a dead battery.

Mine also has a secondary rod that may be used instead of the lift, for manual placement to hold-up the hatch if the lift is removed.
